Carl Zeiss CALYPSO 3D Software | CMM Retrofits

CALYPSO 3D CMM software can be used as part of a straight forward upgrade or retrofit to both manual and CNC machines as well as mobile measuring systems. CALYPSO is the latest generation CAD-based CMM software from Carl Zeiss and gives users the freedom to focus on dimensional analysis of their workpieces. Measuring programs can easily be created to meet demanding inspection requirements. This software eliminates sequential inspection plans, structured programming and complicated code. The user just selects what they wish to measure, in any order and CALYPSO does the rest. It has in-built intelligent tools that make workpiece programming simple and accurate. The CAD model can be seen on the screen as if the user had the actual component in front of them. A variety of CAD interfaces including STEP, IGES and CATIA are available for this purpose, simplifying even complex programming procedures. An additional benefit is that both measurement and programming times are minimised. The integrated automatic recognition of part features enables inexperienced users to obtain distinctly displayed measured results very quickly. The retrofit package comes with Carl Zeiss Direct interfacing options enabling customers to retain existing system and even run legacy programs. Non Direct options are also available with controller retrofits. Carl Zeiss CALYPSO retrofits are suitable for most makes and models of CMM and mobile measuring systems.
