Heidenhain ND 1400 QUADRA-CHEK

The ND 1400 QUADRA-CHEK is a four axis digital readout specifically designed for manual coordinate measuring machines, and can capture both 2D and 3D features with its measuring computer functionality. On-screen operator guidance provides support when setting up the coordinate system (reference plane, part alignment and datum). Predefined features including point, line, circle, slot, rectangle, plane, cylinder, cone and sphere can be measured with ease. The “Measure Magic” function selects the feature that best matches the shape implied by the points probed. Measuring programs graphically guide the operator to the next measurement position. If used with a triggering touch probe, the point values are automatically saved. The screen displays features in 3D with form errors and filtered measured values clearly shown. The ND 1400 also calculates form tolerances such as flatness and parallelism. When working with a touch probe the unit calls for common probing elements such as ‘normal stylus’ and ‘star stylus’.
